Essential GCP Updates: The Clinical Researcher's primary function is to provide you with information about changes in the regulatory environment for clinical trials. GCP updates are added to provide you with this information. The updates are derived from two main sources.
-
The Clinical Researcher's Editorial Team regularly reviews a large number of websites worldwide to identify new information, and then posts anything that is relevant to the practice of clinical research. We do endeavour to ensure that only relevant information is posted and that the information is as complete and up to date as we can make it.
-
Our readers are invited to register as contributors and post information they are aware of in their region or specialist area. All reader contributions are subject to review and approval by the editor to check legitimacy and avoid duplication as far as is possible. The ClubCR section above provides information on how to register as a contributor. We must add a note here to stress that The Clinical Researcher cannot accept liability for information posted and you are strongly advised to check information independently before implementing.
Contributors can also discuss or comment on GCP updates posted by other members. You can either click on the "View discussions relating to this update" link on the Essential GCP Updates main listing, or on the "Discuss this article and update" link under the article itself.
Back> Discussion Forum: This area of the website invites readers to discuss topics of interest to the clinical research community. These can be GCP issues, asking for or recommending a service provider, logistics or clinical trial design issues - anything you like really. All we ask is that posts are relevant to clinical research, are clear, concise, polite and do not defame or offend any other user or organisation. The Editor reserves the right to remove posts which do not meet these standards and to ban contributors who do not comply with forum etiquette.

Articles and Reports: The Editorial team commissions articles which are posted in this section and also provides information and links to other articles and reports in the public domain. Readers who are registered contributors are also able to post articles and reports which are subject to review and approval by the Editor before they appear on the site. To submit an article or report log in and then click on "My Contributions" towards the bottom of the left hand menu or in "My Home Page". You can then click on the link to submit an article. Please ensure you do not infringe any copyright or intellectual property rights if you post an article.
Contributors can also comment on articles and reports posted by other members. To do this click on the "View discussions relating to this article" link under the article itself.

CR Blogs: The Clinical Researcher carefully selects individuals to post their thoughts, ideas and experiences relating to clinical research on a blog. These are diary type entries which provide interesting insights into different aspects of life in clinical research. You can read the blogs and comment on what the bloggers have to say. You can also ask to be considered as a blogger, and information on how to do this is given under the section on ClubCR above.

- Posts must be relevant to clinical research
- Post must be polite, particularly when discussing or referring to posts by other members

To post a website link first include the text referring to the link in your post - this can be the website address itself or an abbreviated reference to it; for example: "http://www.emea.europa.eu/" or "EMEA website". Next highlight this text and then click on the link icon which should now be available in the toolbar above the post. All discussion forum posts are reviewed regularly and posts which do not comply with site etiquette will be removed, and the member may be banned.
